TonnEdge may process your registration data and contact data ("Personal Data") for the purposes and as set out below, always respecting the principles of confidentiality which characterize our business and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“Regulation”), applicable to persons within the European Union.

Purposes and legal grounds of the processing

Your Personal Data will be used for sending you promotional/commercial material and updates in the shipping finance field via e-mail, as well as to invite you to events and webinars on this subject. We will only do this subject to your express and specific consent, where required by applicable law.

The processing of your Personal Data will be based on principles of fairness, lawfulness and transparency, in order to safeguard your privacy and rights and will be carried out using means appropriate to ensure security and confidentiality. The processing will be carried out using manual, computerized and telematic tools, with logics strictly related to the purposes indicated above.

Solely for the purposes indicated above, your Personal Data may be shared with third parties which perform auxiliary activities for TonnEdge such as marketing consultants and IT consultants that, when required by law, are appointed by TonnEdge as data processors pursuant to the Regulation.

Except as specified above, your Personal Data will be processed exclusively by employees and/or free-lance workers of TonnEdge, duly authorized to process it, with instructions to process it in compliance with the law and using appropriate security measures to protect and safeguard the Data.

Your Personal Data may be processed outside the European Union with safeguards to provide adequate protection pursuant to the Regulation.

Data retention

Your Personal Data will be stored for 24 months, unless you revoke your consent to the processing for these purposes (where required by applicable law). Upon the expiry of such period, we will ask you if you wish to renew your consent.

Your rights

You have the right to ask TonnEdge to access your Personal Data, to know the origin, the logic and the methods of the processing, to obtain the updating and rectification or (where provided for by the Regulation) the erasure, the restriction of the processing that concerns your Personal Data or to object the processing (opt out) at any time; you also have the right to receive such Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit it to another controller. You may revoke your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before such revocation, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority of your country in accordance with the law.
